Each year during the Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships, the NCAA has a unique opportunity to connect with student-athletes and fans across the country. But with multiple campaign messages competing for attention, that voice can become harder to hear clearly. At times, the full scope of the NCAA’s work, supporting student-athletes and safeguarding the integrity of college sports, has not always been fully understood by audiences.

By bringing their messaging, tone, and look together into one identity, we amplified their voice. And with a distinct presence, they could finally highlight all the work they do for student-athletes.


This message had to connect with fans at home through broadcast and reach people in the stands with stadium signage, posters, and print, while also extending across social channels and more. The style stands out against all the other generic sports noise, while still connecting with sports lovers.

We worked tirelessly to develop the scripts, styles, characters, scenes, transitions, and more in this animated style. From concept to execution, this work moved on a fast timeline with a hard deadline.
